What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept wire transfers, cashiers checks, personal checks, money orders, debit cards and cash.

Do you report any cash payments to IRS?

No, since we do not accept cash payments over $10,000.

Do you report my purchases to IRS?

No, we do not. We never sell above IRS Limits listed here.

How do I lock the current price?

To lock the price you need to have an account with us. If you already have an account with us, call 503 289-4653, tell us your name and what you want to buy.


Do you have everything you show on the website in stock?

Yes. You come to our store with cash and walk out with gold or silver. We sell only what we have in stock. For large volume orders we will have to order it from our supplier. In most cases it will be shipped to you within few days. Free shipping!


How do you send your package?

Orders are shipped Registered/Insured U.S. Mail. Each package is fully insured and requires a signature upon delivery. Packages sent registered and insured mail can take on average 5-10 business days. 

How long does it take until I receive my order?

We ship immediately after we receive a confirmation from the bank that payment is cleared. Everything else depends on your location and postal services. 

Is my order insured while in transit?

Yes. We fully insure all of our shipments. Should anything happen while your package is in transit to you it will be covered by our insurance policy. However, we will not accept responsibility if you have left instructions with any carriers or delivery service to leave parcels un-attended for you without the need for a signature. Or, you have given them instructions to leave your package with someone else such as a building manager, neighbor, drop-off location such as Mail Boxes etc., The UPS Store, etc.

Do you add commission fee to a listed price?

No. The prices you see are the prices you pay. The only charges GSS adds are for shipping, handling and insurance.   

How do I open an account with GSS?

Do I need to make an appointment before coming to the store?

No. You don’t have to make an appointment to come to our store. Come in any time within our hours of operation to buy and sell at GSS. The only one time when you need to make an appointment is when for some reason you can’t make it during our regular hours of operation, you can contact us (during our regular hours of operation) and arrange a time convenient for you.

Can I sell gold and silver jewelry and scrap to GSS?

Yes. We buy broken or unwanted gold and silver.

Is there a limit on buying precious metals from you?

No! There is no limit on buying precious metals in our store. 

Is there a minimum when buying gold or silver from GSS?

There is no minimum when you come to our store. You can buy as little as a silver dime.

Yes, we do have volume discounts. After many requests we decided to post our volume pricing on our website.
